5 Ways To Avoid Common Wedding Planning Blunders And Disasters
Planning a wedding is meant to be enjoyed by all of those involved. However, many times the friends and family of the couples getting married like to get too involved in the planning. It can cause stress and arguments. Planning a wedding can be a challenge without interference by others. So, here are some tips to make sure everything goes smoothly while you plan your wedding with the help of family and in other areas of the wedding.
#1 Control The Money
The first thing you have to decide is how the money is spent. This is the brides and grooms decision to make. If someone is going to give you money then be certain that you are going to be able to spend it the way you want. If your being pressured to spend the money “their way” then it’s best not to take their help. It will just create too much friction between you and those who are giving you the money.

#2 It’s About Marriage And Love Not “Weddings”
People have kind of lost site of what the true purpose of a wedding is. It is about celebrating love and the beginning of two people sharing their life together. In other words, it is about marriage. Your focus should be on your life together more then just that one special day. Don’t you want to have many special days together rather then just one?
#3 Letting Others Make Your Decisions
You might have family and friends who want to offer their help, their thoughts, and their opinions. That’s a good thing. We all need help. But you need to make sure that you are doing something to please yourself rather then someone else. You don’t have to wear that old family wedding dress if you don’t like it. The same applies to every area of your wedding. Make sure that you are going with a particular item because it is something that you like.

#4 Compromising With In-laws
As a couple you need to come up with a complete wedding plan and what the two of you want. You should then discuss that plan with your in-laws. If there is something they would like included then see if you can incorporate that into your wedding. You shouldn’t have a problem incorporating a favorite dish, wine, or flowers for you wedding. However, make sure that you get what you want for the most important part of your wedding. Make sure your fiance knows what is important to you. Your fiance should stand up for you if there is a conflict.
#5 Being Too Perfect
Wedding planning should be fun, but you shouldn’t be obsessing about it. It really is only one day. It will be over with allot faster then what it took you to plan that day. Don’t worry about everything being perfect. In the end the only thing that matters is that the two of you are still in love.
